August 17th, 2026, marks 81 years of Indonesia.

For most of us, Independence Day is a moment to step back, celebrate, and take a breath. But at Avirtech, it's also a quiet checkpoint. It makes us ask: what are we actually building this year?

We work with drones, IoT, and AI. But the tech itself isn't the driving force. The motivation comes from seeing whether our tools actually save someone a few hours of hard labor.

Technology Is Only Useful When It Works in the Real World

Agriculture teaches you humility fast. A dashboard can look flawless on a monitor in Executive meeting room, but take that same system to a farm, and reality hits immediately. You deal with birds, condensation broke our sensors, terrains that hinder drone operations, and dead zones where the internet simply doesn't exist. And crucially, the client doesn't care about your AI model—they care about yield and cost.

So the question we always ask isn't "Is this advanced?" but rather, "Does this actually help?"

If a drone saves a field operatives from walking ten kilometers to check on an operation weeding, mounding, or if an IoT sensor prevents a plant failure by catching an issue early, that's a win. Otherwise, it's just expensive hardware.

We Are Still Learning

We've been at this long enough to know we don't have all the answers. Avirtech is still learning every day—sometimes from our partners, sometimes from the field operatives on the ground, and often from our own failures.

There are days when a project goes exactly as planned, and days when we deploy a solution only to find out the end-user needs something completely different. We used to get frustrated by that. Now, we see it as the only way to build. When a system fails in the field, it shows us exactly what to build next.

Why Agriculture?

Why focus on agriculture? Because in Indonesia, it's the backbone of everything. Millions of lives depend on it, yet it's an industry under immense pressure. Rising operational costs, labor shortages, and unpredictable weather mean plantations, farmers, are asked to produce more with less.

We believe technology can bridge that gap. But we aren't trying to replace the human element. A drone is just an extra pair of eyes. A sensor is just a digital scout. The final decision still belongs to the human. We're just giving them better data to make that call.

Building From Indonesia

We are proud to build these solutions right here at home. Indonesia's tech sector is moving fast, but we need more companies willing to get their hands dirty, take risks, and solve problems unique to our own geography.

We don't want to just import tech and be users; we want to be builders. The systems we design for an Indonesian farm today might just work for a farm in Malaysia or the Philippines tomorrow. But for now, our focus is simple: make it work, make it useful, and make it better.

What Independence Means to Us

81 years of independence is a reminder of how far we've come as a nation. But independence isn't just a historical milestone; it's the courage to try, to fail, and to keep pushing forward.

We might be a small company, but we believe in small contributions. Improving one plant, one project, or one process at a time adds up. That's our contribution to the country.

So today, we celebrate how far Indonesia has come. Tomorrow, we get back to work on what we can build together from here.
